Costa Rica will host the tournament FIFPro America


In the meeting held by members and Executive Committee of FIFPro Division America announced that Costa Rica is the country where will be held the FIFPro America 2016 tournament, hosted by the Association of Professional Players of Costa Rica - ASOJUPRO . This important event will take place in late January 2016.


The FIFPro America 2016 tournament will be a tournament of six teams representing six guilds of players from Latin: ASOJUPRO (Costa Rica), FENAPAF (Brazil), ACOLFUTPRO (Colombia), SAFAP (Peru), CDJUGADOR (Mexico) and Sifup (Chile ).

The drawing was held today Saturday 12 December in the Netherlands, within the agenda of the Annual General Assembly of FIFPro and to commemorate its 50th anniversary in the presence of members of the Executive Committee of FIFPro Division America, as well representatives of the six participating countries.

For the second time, the FIFPro tournament will be held in Central America. Santiago (Chile, 2011, 2012, 2014), Lima (Peru, 2013) and Cancun (Mexico 2015) have hosted previous editions of this special tournament, which provides about 100 players the chance to find a new club and prolong his career as professional footballers.

Group A is made up of Mexico, Costa Rica and Chile and Group B is made up of Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
On Monday December 14 will be known the exact date that the tournament will be held FIFPro America.

The FIFPro tournament for professional players who are looking for a contract, first organized in 2005 in Europe and has since been developed as a permanent event in the international calendar.
